Pit Bulls Teeth: Keeping Them Healthy
Pit bulls are known for their strong jaws and powerful bite, but did you know that their teeth are also susceptible to plaque, tartar, and gum disease?
Just like humans, pit bulls need regular dental care to maintain good oral health.
Here are some tips for keeping your pit bull’s teeth clean:
Brush your dog’s teeth regularly.
Use a soft-bristled toothbrush and dog-friendly toothpaste. Brush for at least two minutes, twice a day.
Give your dog dental chews.
Spritz your dog’s teeth with dental water additive.
Dental water additives can help to prevent plaque and tartar buildup. Just add a few drops to your dog’s water bowl.
Take your dog to the vet for regular dental cleanings. The vet can remove plaque and tartar that brushing and dental chews cannot reach.
They can also check for signs of gum disease.
