We become who and what we dislike in others.  Relationships of any level of intimacy will have their seasons of disappointments.  The key is to seek peace in all of your relationships. Keep your relationships simple.  Simplify them.  They are not that hard to maintain.  Of Course they will require work.  Healthy boundaries, open communication and  real connection. If you do not do the work and expect the other party to do it all- that doesn’t work.  One sided. Keep it moving.

We have to be aware of how we are the common denominator in relationships.  We navigate life clueless with blinders on, hurt, distrusting and defensive.  If you want a relationship that is harmonious and loving, you need to become more caring and compassionate. Do everything in love, in turn reap what you sow,  As in all things.

Now would be a perfect time to think about all of your relationships.  This involves personal, work, school, etc.

In what ways are you showing up in the relationship?  In what ways can you contribute more to the relationship?

We either know if/when we are in a healthy relationship and when we are not.  Period.  Of course, It took me a while to understand all of this. I had to release my fears of setting personal boundaries for fear of losing people.  People will do what we allow them to do, so don’t allow them to take your joy, peace or power.  Set clear boundaries and expectations.

Use common sense.  There is no reason to cloud your judgment.  We show who we are by our actions, not our words.  Sometimes we have to be silent and listen.  Active Listening brings clarity.  Clarity brings acceptance.  You have to be ready to let people go though, not feel worse about them than you do you.

Be ready to never get the apology you think you need to move on.  Just move on.  Don’t wait for it.  Sometimes we have to forgive people for things they will never be sorry for.   It’s okay.  Let them go. Focus on what you do have time for.

If you want to attract healthy and loving relationships, embody the qualities you seek. It really is that simple.   Honor your own energy and stay present.  It is important to understand that you cannot control other people’s lives, and that sometimes the best thing you can do for someone is to step aside. It is important to remember that you are not responsible for the happiness or well-being of others, and that it is okay to prioritize your own needs and desires.

It’s okay to not be okay.  Stay kind. We must be willing to let go of relationships that are no longer serving us. Don’t let fear of the unknown stop you from moving forward.
