Turning Back Time: My Experience with Botox at Total Anti-Aging and Wellness in Daytona Beach
Let’s face it, as we age, our skin starts to show signs of wear and tear. For me, it was the pesky wrinkles around on my forehead that were really bothering me. I had heard about Botox as a way to smooth out those wrinkles, but I was always a little hesitant to try it.
I woke up a couple of years ago with drooping of one side of the face and I thought I had a stroke. While at the emergency room the doctors began testing for all kinds of conditions after cat scan results showing no stroke, they concluded I had bells palsy.
What is Bells Palsy?
Bell’s palsy is a sudden weakness or paralysis of the muscles on one side of the face. It’s caused by damage to the facial nerve, or 7th cranial nerve, which controls these muscles. The exact cause of Bell’s palsy is unknown, but it’s thought to be caused by inflammation of the nerve. Read more about bells palsy, if interested here.
Bell’s palsy can leave lasting facial asymmetry due to weakness or paralysis on one side. The good news is that Botox (botulinum toxin A) shows promise in addressing this by temporarily weakening muscles on the unaffected side, creating a more balanced appearance. I decided to give it a shot after researching asymmetry management. (scroll to the bottom to check out the research studies links below)
I decided to give Botox a try. I’m so glad I did! From the moment I walked into Total Anti-Aging and Wellness, I felt comfortable and welcomed. The staff was friendly and professional, and they took the time to answer all of my questions and concerns. Leah, the master injector, was amazing. She is incredibly knowledgeable and experienced, and she really listened to what I wanted to achieve.
The procedure itself was quick and painless. Leah was very gentle, and she explained everything she was doing as she went along. I was a little nervous at first, but Leah put me at ease, and I ended up feeling very relaxed.
The results?
I am thrilled! The wrinkles around my forehead are gone, and my skin looks smoother and younger. I feel more confident and beautiful, and I can’t thank Leah and the staff at Total Anti-Aging and Wellness enough.
If you are considering Botox, I highly recommend Total Anti-Aging and Wellness in Daytona Beach. They are the best!
In addition to my personal experience, here are some other things to consider when choosing a Botox provider:
The provider’s experience and qualifications. Make sure the provider is a licensed medical professional with experience in administering Botox.
The provider’s reputation. Read online reviews and ask others for recommendations.
The cost of treatment. Botox can be expensive, so be sure to get quotes from several providers before making a decision. Cost is usually per unit.
